Cultrow — 12×31 showcase

This is dubstep. Sometimes I suggest that interesting musicians record a mix that will consist exclusively of their tracks. Today we will have multiple changes of uneven rhythm, echoes, rustling streets and bass of different frequencies. Eugene Cultrow has prepared for all of us a dense 40-minute UKG showcase with 32 of his own works, 11 of which are just being prepared for release. A word from the artist: “Hi everyone, my name is Yevgeny, I’m 24 years old and I write atmospheric bass music. I’m also a resident at St. Petersburg festival Abstrasension and Ghost Syndicate. My stage name came from the combination of two words: cult, as something mystical and mysterious and row, to invoke loud noise. The name reflects the essence of my project: dark sound, recordings of urban sounds and a generally deep sound.

There are several artists who have influenced my character in music. It all started with Burial. His music had a very strong influence on me and subsequently shaped my love for dark and melancholic sounds. Later, I found something else, a vibe and message in the tracks that resonates with me 100%. That artist turned out to be Ghostek. To this day he is my mentor and inspiration. Volor Flex, Sorrow and Vacant also contributed to the formation of my style. For 12edit I prepared my own mix, which turned out to be quite versatile. Here you will hear future garage, dubstep and some grime sounds.”
