In the early 1990s, while house music was becoming more complex and split into new genres in European clubs, Chicago ghetto house musicians deliberately used a minimum of elements to their tracks. Ghetto house has a simple rhythm, a simple bass and (often, but not always) obscene rhymes and sexually explicit outbursts.
