Bad boys: best releases of Dropping Science, Commercial Suicide, Formation Records, Metalheadz, Soul:r, Virus, Tru Playaz, Full Cycle, Dope Dragon, Phantom Audio, CIA Recordings

Why do musicians start their own labels? So that they wouldn’t have to knock on the doors of other people’s labels, and could instead release their own records without delay and without looking behind their shoulders at someone else’s management. Someone else’s label can keep a record as a promo for years: there are plenty of such examples. Danny Breaks opened Droppin’ Science, Klute—Commercial Suicide, DJ SS—Formation Records, Goldie—Metalheadz, Marcus Kaye—Soul:r, Ed Rush and Optical—Virus Recordings, DJ Hype—Tru Playaz, Roni Size and DJ Krust—Full Cycle and Dope Dragon, Spirit and Digital—Phantom Audio, guys from Total Science—CIA Recordings.

Thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts, we can finally listen to the repertoire of a previously unknown jungle and drum‘n’bass, and others can cast their minds back, looking at their record collection.
