Unfinished: The Making of Massive Attack

For the 30th anniversary of the album Blue Lines, a film about Massive Attack. It isn’t so much about their history as it is about their background: about the Wild Bunch DJ collective, from which Massive Attack formed in the 90s; how Bristol lived during the formative years of the members; how a mash-up of different genres (punk, dub, new wave, and hip hop) turned out to be the very Bristol sound that would later be called trip hop in the media. This is a film about the sound of the city and the roots of the band. However, it’s made without its members. It’s their associates and teachers who speak about them, those who, together with 3D, Daddy G, Tricky and Mushroom, started in Bristol in the 80s.
